Androgyny - a congenital disorder of sexual development, in which the patient's external genitalia by nature have some signs of male and female.
The disease occurs 2 types:
- true (the presence of male and female gonads, or they are connected together);
- false (the difference between present gonads and external sexual characteristics. In such cases, the sex glands in a patient of the same type as the vulva of another).Most often this type of congenital disease occurs very rarely in children during puberty.
